I still can't understand why people fight for the doctrine of the Trinity so desperately and try to create and establish things contrary to God's Word. The proof is EVERYWHERE in the New Testament by Jesus himself, which was just explained to us all in the text above very thoroughly I might ad. Jesus is much more than a prophet, an angel, or human he is the SON of the almighty God and all authority has been given to him as he is seated at the right hand of the Father. How can anyone argue with all the scripture where Jesus clearly explains that he is not the Father but the Father is in him. Why would Jesus try to trick us and not reveal to us in his Word if he was. Don't attempt to make a couple versus into something they are not when there are countless more that state the contrary. We must study all of God's word not just pick portions out that fit our doctrine.

Wow, there are a lot of assumptions in that answer. I don't think I can agree with all of them.

1. Yes, it is true that he is the king now. However, I don't think the kingdom he is king over is heaven. He is described as the head of the church, the congregation of believers, and the kingdom he is king over. The kingdom of heaven is come from heaven, and is a kingdom of believers changing to follow heavenly ideals. As a result, they become citizens of the kingdom of heaven.

2. His kingdom is an eternal kingdom in the sense that it goes on into the future for ever. That does not imply it has always been around. In fact, it could be said to have started with his calls to "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near" (NB: "near", not "here"). We can view it as a continuation of the Davidic kingdom of Israel, but even that had a start.

3. The Davidic kingdom was promised to last forever. However, that did not imply that David (or his immediate descendants) had to be king of that kingdom for ever, nor that it had been around for ever. Here, the kingdom was ruled by a created king. In the same way, Jesus was created, and he rules a divine kingdom which will in future cover the whole earth.

God sent so many leaders to save Israel from their enemies but did any of them could really save this nation? You know that all of them failed. Except one leader whose leadership was not in this world yet He said He is the King of the Jews. He did not say He will be the king of the Jews but He is the King of the Jews. No one can be a king without a kingdom. Then where is His kingdom? His kingdom is in heaven. Heavenly kingdom is eternal kingdom and on one can be a king of eternal kingdom if the king himself is not eternal. There is no change of reign in heaven. So Jesus Christ was not created and he can not be a created king of heaven. Devine kingdom can not be ruled by a created king. So Jesus Christ is the uncreated king of heaven.

Jesus was the Word, the word was with God at the beginning, and the Word was God. He came in the flesh because he gave up his Godly position to take that of being a human(Flesh), He lived as a human and he lived a perfect life. While he was on Earth he was human(flesh, he came in the flesh) They say he came in the flesh to show that he did not come in a superior form(God)

Sorry, I'm not entirely understanding here. Saying that Jesus is not God is not saying that he is a "mere creature", because he was the only son of God, created and sent for a very special purpose. God has highly exalted him, and everyone will bow to him, hardly the token of a mere creature. He is second in the universe, exalted to this position for the glory of God. I don't believe anyone viewing him as a mere creature will be ready to receive him with the authority God has given him and will give him.

Certainly all salvation ultimately comes from God. However, in the history of Israel he raised up leaders who saved Israel from their enemies, and Jesus was and is the greatest of these - a saviour specially raised up by God to save his people.

I am very shocked to hear your comments about the Son of God, you are saying that He is a mere creature, which is greatly dishonoring to the Father as well as to His Son.This proves that for two thousand years the Christian Church has believed in another Jesus to you.The Jesus you believe in has only ever been believed in by cults and heritics and cannot save himself let alone anyone else, yet the Angel declared today in the town of David a Saviour has been born, and again in 1John4:14,the Father sent His son to be the Saviour of the world and in Isaiah 43:10-11,Before Me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me.I'even I,am the LORD,and appart from Methere is no Saviour,so your Jesus is not the true Saviour.I can prove that you are dangerously wrong if you give me a chance, the death and resurection you believe in is not the one that Thomas believed for his responce to seeing the risen Christ was to see His Divine beauty and so said to Jesus My Lord and my God,because if it was the same resurection you would not have to butcher the original greek, for no greek scholar except those belonging to the cults have ever done what you have done.I challenge you to cry out to God for His Spirit to reveal to you the risen Christ in His word and then you too will say to Jesus My Lord and my God as Thomas did, unless your too scared that it might happen to you as it did to me,for I too was against Jesus diety and God had mercy on me,and I pray that He has mercy on you too and on everyone who reads this.Remember that we must all appear before the Judgement seat of Christ, not a mere creature,so please repent now and cry out to God for mercy, thanks and God bless,Adrian

! Timothy 3:16- And without controversy great is the mystery og godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentile, believed on in the world, received up into glory. That tells me ONE thing. It doesn't take anyone super smart to know what that verse says, and who its talking about! Every knee shall bow and every tounges confess that JESUS is Lord. John 20:28 And that's what Thomas did and thats what I Believe! Revelations 4:2 And immediately I was in the Spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and ONE sat on the throne. IT did not say two or three but ONE! So all these other ideas that people follow like the creed in 325 a.d. which was a group of men getting things from there own knowledge is wrong. The word said not to lean on your own understanding. And the Spirit shall lead and guid you into all truths.

Maybe your pastor is thinking of the phrase in Rev.4:11 "our Lord and God" which was also used "Dominus et Deus noster" for a later Caesar, Domitian AD 81-96; Suetonius, Dio Cassius and Pliny all record Domitian wanting to be called this. It's one of several reasons why many people think Revelation relates to Domitian's persecution, not Nero's. However it's not the "MY Lord, AND MY God" as Thomas says, there's only one "OUR" clearly meaning one person: OUR lord-and-god Domitian.

Our pastor, yesterday morning, stated that the phrase was a roman phrase that was commonly used for ceasar.
I would appreciate your thoughts on that.

Thank You
